The HR Specialist - Compensation & Benefits plays a pivotal role in maintaining a smooth and accurate payroll process.They are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, fees, and employee benefits. They contribute to policy development related to employee classification, compensation, and benefit programs. Working closely with various teams, including HR, Workforce Management, and Finance, this role coordinates the processing of payroll, contracts, and related documentation.

The ideal candidate possesses strong numerical skills, handles sensitive information adeptly, and has a good understanding of labor legislation.

Responsibilities:

Payroll and Timekeeping Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and consultant fees in the absence of the payroll master/HR Supervisor
  • Participate in payroll and benefits processing, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Review and adjust payroll reports for accuracy
  • Validate and prepare all government reports
  • Prepare and submit the regular reports for all PH taxes and statutory benefits deductions
  • Ensure compliance with wage and tax regulations
  • Prepare year-end employee tax forms and submit government filings
  • Prepare annual reports, including BIR 2316, and submit them to all staff
  • Validate and submit the alphalist to BIR before the due date
  • Serve as point of contact for staff inquiries on consultancy fees, compensation, benefits, taxes, and deductions
  • Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports for analysis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure delivery of benefits and payroll services

Compensation and Benefits Responsibilities:

  • Collect necessary data from employees for benefits processing and government filings
  • Handle complex benefit queries, processing, and escalations
  • Assist HR leaders in understanding statutory benefits and requirements
  • Support the conduct of training and document processes for statutory requirements related to benefits and payroll
  • Submit validated reports for payment, including taxes and other deductions
  • Manage staff deductions, including loans, HMO, and reimbursem*nts
  • Provide advice to HR leaders on benefits application and policies
  • Assist in salary surveys and benchmarking exercises

Additional Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports for analysis
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR leaders


HR Administration Support:

  • Assist HR Dept. in personnel administration
  • Arrange payment for HR Dept. invoices in coordination with Finance
  • Upload Fee Receipts for Contracted staff
  • Oversee and maintain staff data integrity in the relevant payroll system
  • Enter new employee data into internal databases
  • Administer personal filing system and update BambooHR monthly
  • Support automation projects and duties assigned by HR leadership
  • Assist HR team in implementing Performance Management System
  • Coordinate with Managers and Supervisors for HR matters
  • Monitor regularization dates of probationary employees

Working Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 4 AM - 1 PM Philippine Time

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR Management, Accounting, or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' proven experience in compensation, benefits, and payroll
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Familiarity with HRIS and accounting software. Experience with ADP systems, Deputy, Google Suite is an advantage.
  • Practical experience with payroll systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Good understanding of labor legislation
  • Time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Work effectively in a multicultural, multi-shift environment
  • Work from Home Setup This is a hybrid-Work From Home opportunity. Regular in-person meetings may be scheduled for key projects and deliverables.
  • The ideal candidate should reside withing 5 kilometers travel of Makati City. This role requires local errands to be done in Makati City and Taguig City.
