2. Polish Fest

ALL WEEKEND | HENRY MAIER FESTIVAL PARK

Experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Poland without having to cross the Atlantic. The yearly ethnic event offers traditional Polish pierogi and pastries alongside Wisconsin classics like fried cheese curds. And if you’re curious about your Polish heritage, genealogy experts will be on-site to help trace your roots. Tickets are available online.

3. Rehearsal for Murder

ALL WEEKEND | SUNSET PLAYHOUSE

Adapted for the stage from Richard Levinson and William Link’s television play, Sunset Playhouse’s rendition of Rehearsal for Murder is the story of a playwright left heartbroken after discovering his leading lady and fiance’s death by apparent suicide. But everything is not as it seems — after the first anniversary of her death, he comes to believe a member of the ill-fated cast was her killer. Tickets can be purchased here.

4. Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cincinnati Reds

ALL WEEKEND | AMERICAN FAMILY FIELD

Take yourself out to the ball game and watch the Brewers face off against the Reds at any of the three games happening over the weekend. Tickets can be purchased here.

5. Northern Moraine Spring Art Tour

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FROM 9 A.M.-5 P.M. | PLYMOUTH ARTS CENTER

This event invites art lovers to explore Sheboygan County area artists’ private studios, galleries and boutiques, presenting opportunities to meet artists in their workspaces. Admission is free to visit all 15 venues featuring over 35 artists including painters, potters and photographers as well as fiber, wood, metal, jewelry and leather artists.

6. Cheese Wheel Classic Bike Race

FRIDAY FROM 11 A.M.-8 P.M. | BEECHER STREET NEIGHBORHOOD

Summer weekends fly by — just like these cyclists! Stake out a spot anywhere along the route running through West Allis’ Beecher Street Neighborhood to catch an exhilarating race. This event is one of 11 races occurring over 11 days throughout Wisconsin as part of the Tour of America’s Dairyland. For bike lovers, another race will be held the following day in Grafton.

7. Indigenous Elegance: A Celebration of Culture and Identity

FRIDAY FROM 5-8 P.M. | HARBOR VIEW PLAZA

Fashion designer Sabrina Lombardo is showcasing pieces from her brand Native Nations Design in a fashion show on Friday. It’ll feature garments and accessories that spotlight Indigenous culture and voices in Milwaukee.Indigenous vendors, food and music by DJs Ambulante Y Clandestino will be there too. The event opens its doors at 5 p.m., and the fashion show begins at 6:30 p.m.

8. “Lois Ehlert: A Creative Life” Reception

FRIDAY FROM 5:30-7:30 P.M. | BROOKS STEVENS GALLERY, 273 ERIE ST.

The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design is hosting a reception to celebrate its exhibit that features Wisconsin artist and designer Lois Ehlert’s work. Known for authoring children’s books like Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Growing Vegetable Soup and Planting a Rainbow, Ehlert’s pieces have been featured at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Milwaukee Art Museum and the James Watrous Gallery. The exhibit runs from June 17 to August 3.

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | THE PABST THEATER

Singer-songwriter Sam Beam, known by his stage name Iron & Wine, has produced seven albums, various singles and the initial volumes of an archive series throughout musical career spanning over a decade. His newest album, Light Verse, was released April 26 with a breezy tone that makes for a thought-provoking contrast to its heavier meaning. Tickets can be purchased online.

10. Milwaukee Illuminate Film Festival

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. AND SATURDAY AT 4 P.M. | THE FITZGERALD

Milwaukee Illuminate Film Festival’s second festival event is set to span over two days with four screenings, showing diverse films spotlights filmmakers and artists from underrepresented and marginalized communities. The lineup includes a mix of local, national and international films. Community-building co*cktail hours are scheduled before and after Friday’s opening night screening, as well as before and after the first and final shorts blocks on Saturday. 11. Barbie Dreamhouse Living Pop-Up Truck

SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M.-7 P.M. | MAYFAIR MALL NEAR BARNES & NOBLE

You’ve heard of Barbie’s dreamhouse, but have you heard of Barbie’s dream truck? This Barbie-mobile is making stops all around the country selling exclusive merchandise only available on the Barbie Truck Tour, including Barbie-inspired apparel, accessories and home goods. This weekend, it’s making a stop at Mayfair.

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-5 P.M. | COOPER PARK

Bring your stein and an eye for art to get the most out of this free event. Sip a variety of local beers and non-alcoholic beverages while strolling through an eclectic mix of 65 artists and makers of high-quality items and consumables. A newly renovated playground, splash pad, food truck and live music promise plenty of entertainment for the kids.

13. Summer Soulstice Celebration

SATURDAY FROM NOON-MIDNIGHT | KENILWORTH & IVANHOE PLACE, BETWEEN PROSPECT & FARWELL AVENUE

This festival might be celebrating summer’s longer days, but the nights don’t have to get any shorter! Kick off the sunny season with this medley of local music, food, arts & crafts and other activities. This is a free event.

14. Joe Pera: The Peras Tour

SATURDAY AT 7 P.M. | THE PABST THEATER

In episode 11 of season three of the comedy series “Joe Pera Talks With You,” Joe Pera – acting as a middle school choir teacher from Michigan’s upper peninsula – takes a road trip to Milwaukee. Now, the standup comedian, writer and filmmaker is coming back as part of a nationwide comedy tour. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets are available online.

15. That Mexican OT

SATURDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | THE RAVE/EAGLES CLUB

Known professionally as That Mexican OT, Virgil René Gazca is a Mexican-American rapper with multiple Billboard Hot 100 hits since his breakout in summer 2023. His most recent album, Texas Technician, is a refined version of his earlier work that pays homage to his home state and the distinct sound it has given rise to in the rap world. 16. Snoop Dogg

SATURDAY AT 9 P.M. | POTAWATOMI CASINO HOTEL

The 52-year-old rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, DJ, media personality and businessman has made a lasting impact on countless industries and is now returning to Milwaukee live in concert. Tickets can be purchased here.

17. Father’s Day at the Zoo

SUNDAY FROM 9:30 A.M.-5 P.M. | MILWAUKEE COUNTY ZOO

Spend time with dad and some furry – or scaly – friends this Father’s Day by taking advantage of the Milwaukee County Zoo’s free admission offer for all dads and grandads. Spot some dads from the animal kingdom like the African kudu Hasani and his offspring, Chula. Parking and attraction fees still apply.

18. Moto Father’s Day

SUNDAY FROM 10 A.M.-5 P.M. | HARLEY DAVIDSON MUSEUM

To thank dads for their services – for example, teaching someone how to ride a motorcycle – the Harley Davidson Museum is offering all dads free admission this Father’s Day. Before or after the visit, treat Dad to some barbecue at MOTOR Bar & Restaurant’s Beer-B-Q event at noon offering five beer and food pairings. Mention the Father’s Day offer in person for the free ticket.
